This training equips staff to recognize and respond to student medical emergencies, including seizures, diabetes-related emergencies, anaphylaxis, cardiac events, and opioid overdoses. Participants will learn how to provide safe seizure care, recognize signs of low or high blood sugar, and respond appropriately during diabetic emergencies. Training also includes recognizing anaphylaxis and hands-on instruction for administering Epi-Pen®, Neffy®, and Narcan® (naloxone). Staff will also have the opportunity to sign up for campus AED teams and learn their roles and responsibilities during a cardiac emergency.
